The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Vlad the Impaler Pop! Movies figure is not considered rare, as it was part of a standard mass-production run released in 2021. While specific variants like Chase or limited editions would be rare, the standard SKU 1071 was widely available through major retailers and is generally easy to find in the secondary market.
The retail value of the Vlad the Impaler Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1071) is typically around $15, which serves as a baseline for its worth in new condition. Because this is a standard, non-exclusive release from 2021, it does not carry a significant premium over its original retail price. Market value for used copies generally fluctuates between $5 and $10 depending on the condition of the box and figure.
To authenticate your Funko Pop! Vlad the Impaler (SKU 1071), first verify that the box displays the official Funko logo, the "Pop! Movies" branding, and the correct SKU number 1071 on the back label. Examine the figure itself for consistent paint application, proper eye alignment, and the specific sculpted details of Vlad’s armor and cape, as counterfeit figures often feature blurry printing or misaligned parts. You can also cross-reference the item against high-resolution images from the official Funko website or reputable collector databases to ensure the packaging and figure match the 2021 release specifications.
The Vlad the Impaler Pop! Movies was released in 2021 by Funko.
Funko has discontinued the Vlad the Impaler Pop! Movies figure, so it is no longer in print and cannot be purchased new directly from the manufacturer. While the item is no longer available through official retail channels, it may occasionally appear on the secondary market through resellers, though availability is sporadic and prices often exceed the original retail value.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! figure primarily involves inspecting the vinyl for scratches, paint chips, or cracks, with particular attention to the head, hands, and any accessories like the sword. You should also verify that the figure is properly seated in the base and that the packaging, if present, is free from significant damage, as this affects collectible value. For a formal grade, you would need to submit the item to a third-party grading service, though most standard Pop! figures are not typically graded by major agencies like PSA unless they are rare variants.
