Common questions about the William Nylander Pop! Hockey from Funko.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the William Nylander Pop! Hockey figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item released as part of the regular NHL Pop! Hockey series, meaning it was manufactured in large quantities and is widely available through major retailers and secondary markets.
The value of a William Nylander Pop! Hockey figure (SKU 92) typically ranges from $5 to $15 for a new, sealed box, depending on current retail availability. As a standard production item, it does not command a significant premium over its original retail price unless it is part of a complete set or has rare packaging errors. Prices fluctuate based on the player's current performance and market demand, so checking recent sold listings on platforms like eBay provides the most accurate real-time valuation.
To authenticate your William Nylander Pop! Hockey figure, first verify that the packaging displays the official Funko logo and a valid UPC barcode, as counterfeit items often lack these or feature blurry printing. Inspect the figure itself for consistent paint application, proper articulation, and the correct sculpt details specific to the NHL line, noting that genuine figures typically have a smooth, uniform finish without visible mold lines. You can also cross-reference the SKU number on the box against Funko's official product listings to ensure the item matches the released version. If the figure feels unusually light, has poor plastic quality, or lacks the standard Funko branding on the base, it is likely a counterfeit.
The William Nylander Pop! Hockey figure (SKU 92) was released in 2016 as part of the initial wave of the NHL collection. This release coincided with the launch of the NHL Pop! line, which debuted in late 2015 and continued through 2016.
I cannot find reliable information confirming that the William Nylander Pop! Hockey figure is currently in print or available for purchase new from Funko. As a specific player figure, it may have been discontinued or released in a limited run, making it difficult to verify its current production status without real-time inventory data.
To condition-check a William Nylander Pop! Hockey, inspect the vinyl surface for any cracks, scratches, or paint imperfections, paying close attention to the face, helmet, and jersey details. Verify that the figure is securely seated on its base and that the packaging is intact if you are evaluating the item in its box. For a formal grade, you can submit the figure to a third-party grading service, though most collectors simply assess the item visually for common flaws like mold lines or discoloration.
