Common questions about the Winged Monkey with Basket Pop! Movies from Funko (2024).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Winged Monkey with Basket Pop! Movies is not considered rare, as it is a standard mass-produced release from Funko's 2024 catalog. It is widely available through major retailers and Funko's own website, meaning supply generally meets demand without significant scarcity.
The Winged Monkey with Basket Pop! Movies (SKU 1520) is a standard retail item from the 2024 release cycle, and its value is generally anchored to its original retail price, typically ranging between $12 and $15. Because it is a recent release without significant scarcity or limited-edition status, it does not command a premium in the secondary market. Collectors should expect to find new copies at local hobby shops or online retailers for close to retail, while used copies may sell for less.
To authenticate your Funko Pop! #1520, verify that the box features the official Funko logo and a holographic security sticker, which is a standard anti-counterfeit measure for recent releases. The figure itself should have a smooth, uniform plastic finish with no visible seams, paint bleed, or loose parts, and the character’s proportions should match the official product images. If the packaging appears damaged, the font on the box looks off, or the figure feels unusually light, it may be a replica, so comparing it side-by-side with a verified genuine example is the most reliable method.
The Winged Monkey with Basket Pop! Movies was released in 2024 by Funko.
Funko does not publicly disclose real-time print status for specific Pop! figures, so it is not possible to confirm with certainty whether the Winged Monkey with Basket (SKU 1520) is currently in print. Availability fluctuates frequently, and this item may be out of stock at major retailers even if it remains in production. To determine its current status, you should check the inventory levels on Funko's official website or major authorized retailers.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! involves inspecting the vinyl figure for manufacturing defects such as paint overspray, seams, or scratches, and verifying that the basket accessory is intact and securely attached. You should also examine the box for any dents, tears, or "shelf wear" on the corners, as these significantly impact the item's value. For a formal grade, you would need to submit the sealed box to a third-party grading service, though most collectors simply assess the item's condition based on the presence of these common flaws.
