The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the 2023 Wolverine Pop! Comic Covers figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from Funko’s widely distributed Pop! Comic Covers line, which is regularly stocked in major retail chains and online marketplaces. While specific color variants or exclusive editions of a figure can be rare, the standard SKU 20 version is generally available and does not carry a limited production status.
There is no single fixed value for the 2023 Wolverine Pop! Comic Covers figure, as its worth fluctuates based on market demand and condition. As a standard retail release, it typically sells for its original retail price or slightly below if found new in box, while sealed copies may command a small premium. For an accurate current valuation, you should check recent completed sales on secondary marketplaces like eBay.
Authenticating a 2023 Funko Pop! requires examining the packaging for the official Funko logo, a scannable barcode, and a holographic sticker, as counterfeit items often feature blurry printing or missing stickers. Check the vinyl figure for consistent paint application and sharp sculpting, noting that fakes frequently have rough seams or misaligned parts. While there is no single definitive test, discrepancies in the box's font, weight, or the quality of the internal plastic insert are common indicators of a replica. If the item lacks standard manufacturing marks or the packaging feels flimsy, it is likely not genuine.
The Wolverine Pop! Comic Covers was released in 2023 by Funko.
Funko does not publicly disclose real-time inventory levels or specific print run statuses for individual Pop! figures, so it is not possible to definitively confirm whether the 2023 Wolverine Comic Covers release is currently in print. Availability for new purchases fluctuates based on retailer stock and production schedules, meaning the figure may be out of stock at major retailers even if it has not been officially discontinued. To verify current availability, you should check the live inventory of authorized Funko retailers such as Amazon, Target, or Best Buy.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! figure primarily involves inspecting the vinyl for mold lines, paint overspray, and surface scratches, while ensuring the head and body joints are secure. For the specific Comic Covers edition, you should also verify that the printed comic cover design on the packaging is intact and free from creases, as the box is a significant part of the collectible's value. Since these figures are mass-produced, they are not typically submitted to third-party grading services like PSA or CGC, so your assessment should focus on the physical integrity of the figure and its original packaging.
