No, the Young Gru Pop! Movies figure is not considered rare. It was a standard retail release from Funko's 2020 lineup and was widely available in major stores and online retailers. Because it was not a limited edition, exclusive, or discontinued item, it remains common in the secondary market.
The value of a Funko Pop! Young Gru (SKU 900) varies significantly based on its condition and whether it remains in the original sealed box. As a standard 2020 release, it is a common item that typically sells for a modest price, often ranging from $5 to $15 for loose figures and slightly more for sealed boxes, depending on current market demand. I cannot provide a precise real-time valuation, so you should check recent completed sales on platforms like eBay to determine its exact current market price.
To authenticate your Young Gru Pop! Movies figure, verify that the SKU 900 is printed on the bottom of the base and that the packaging displays the official Funko logo and holographic sticker. Inspect the vinyl for consistent paint application, sharp sculpting details, and the absence of excess plastic flash, which are common indicators of counterfeits. Additionally, check that the window on the box is clear and that the figure fits snugly within the packaging, as loose fits often suggest a fake.

The Young Gru Pop! Movies figure (SKU 900) is currently out of print and no longer available to buy new from Funko. Collectors looking for this specific figure must typically purchase it from the secondary market, such as resale platforms or local shops.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! involves inspecting the vinyl figure for paint defects, scratches, or mold lines, and verifying that the box is free of dents, creases, or shelf wear. For a definitive grade, you must submit the item to a professional third-party grading service like PSA, which will encapsulate it and assign a numerical score based on specific criteria. Be aware that the 2020 release year and SKU 900 refer to the specific production run, but grading focuses entirely on the physical state of the figure and packaging at the time of submission.
