The Zazu Pop! Disney (SKU 499) is not considered rare, as it was part of a standard mass-production run released in 2018. These figures were widely distributed through major retail chains and online marketplaces, making them easily accessible to collectors. While sealed copies may command a slight premium, the item is generally common and readily available on the secondary market.
The Zazu Pop! Disney (SKU 499) is a common, mass-produced collectible that typically sells for between $5 and $10 in new, unopened condition. Because this figure was released in 2018 and is widely available, its value rarely exceeds retail price, and used copies generally sell for less. Prices can fluctuate slightly based on local market demand, but it is not considered a rare or high-value item.
To authenticate your Zazu Pop! (SKU 499), first verify that the box features the official Funko logo and displays the correct product number, 499, on the front. Inspect the figure for consistent paint application, sharp sculpting details, and a smooth, glossy finish, as counterfeit versions often exhibit sloppy painting or rough seams. Additionally, check the bottom of the figure for a molded copyright stamp, which should read "© Funko" along with the year of manufacture, typically 2018 for this release. If the packaging is missing, the physical quality of the vinyl and the presence of the copyright mark are your primary indicators of authenticity.
The Zazu Pop! Disney was released in 2018 by Funko.
The Zazu Pop! Disney (SKU 499) is considered out of print and is no longer available for purchase new from Funko or major retail partners. While the figure was released in 2018, Funko typically discontinues production of individual characters once their inventory sells through, meaning new stock is no longer being manufactured. Collectors looking for this specific item must currently seek it out on the secondary market, where prices often exceed the original retail value.
To condition-check a Zazu Pop! Disney, inspect the vinyl surface for scratches, scuffs, or paint imperfections, paying close attention to the beak and feather details where flaws are most visible. Verify that the figure is securely seated on its base and that the box is free of significant damage, as the packaging is a key component of the item's value. For a formal grade, you must submit the figure to a professional third-party grading service such as Beckett, which will assign a numerical score based on standardized criteria.
